The fact that young people from lower socioeconomic status backgrounds are less likely to achieve than their “better off” peers is well established through research. At Knack, our goal is to decode the hidden potential of people and stream them into the future of work—just by playing mobile games!

Recently, a group of high school students from disadvantaged backgrounds played Knack. The following data shows the impact of Knack’s data for helping these young people create a better future for themselves:

82% of the youth considered Knack “very” or “extremely” useful

84% felt “very” or “extremely” optimistic about their future after discovering their skills

95% said they’d recommend Knack with friends and family

82% said Knack gave them useful guidance for making education and career choices

These effects are most promising. They show the significant impact of discovering our hidden potential and of feeling a sense of self-worth and self-esteem on our mindsets, our confidence, and our hopefulness about the future.

These effects are critical triggers of positive and productive downstream behaviors. The capacity to use a simple mobile experience to generate such effects at infinite scale and global reach is a huge turning point for people, economies, and societies.
