One of the constant questions we get at Knack is “what skills are going to be most important for future-proofing my company (or career)?”
After all, forces like automation, AI, big data, and globalization are shaping the workplace more and more rapidly. According to a report from McKinsey, by 2030 “as many as 375 million workers—or roughly 14 percent of the global workforce—may need to switch occupational categories as digitization, automation, and advances in artificial intelligence disrupt the world of work.”
One of our goals at Knack is to empower all workers to stay relevant and retool their skillsets. Companies will also be able to assess the preparedness of their workforce for future success.
This is why we are excited to announce a new set of Knacks that are focused on these skills, competencies, and mindsets necessary for success in the future.
These 21st Century Skill Knacks acknowledge the shifting environment in the workplace including the ability to think critically, interface with smart machines, and continue to learn and even “unlearn.”
